Data Deletion Policy

You have the right to request deletion of all data associated with your Hop 'n Bop account.

How to Delete Your Data

Before deleting your account, you may export your data via Settings > Account > Export My Data.

Open Settings in the game, go to Account, and select "Delete Account". Your account will be scheduled for deletion, and you have 30 days to cancel by signing back in. After that, the deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

If you are unable to access the game, email privacy@hopnbop.net with the subject "Data Deletion Request" and include your player ID so we can locate your account.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account in the game, we immediately delete:

• Your profile details: display name, profile image URL, any email address we hold, language, location, and time zone.
• Your stored IP address and your friend code.
• Gameplay statistics, match history, and leaderboard entries. The public leaderboard at hopnbop.net/leaderboard can take up to about a minute to stop showing you, or longer only while our database is down.
• Cloud-synced settings.
• Friend connections and blocked players (removed from both sides).
• Party memberships (parties you created are deleted), party chat messages, online status, and notifications.
• The list of players you recently played with, and your entry in other players' lists.
• The consent record stored on your device.

30 days later, unless you sign back in to cancel, we permanently delete:

• Your account and player ID.
• Your sign-in IDs: your device ID and your linked sign-in provider IDs.
• Anything you added by playing after you asked for the deletion.

Timeline

The first list above is deleted the moment you delete your account in the game, and you disappear from the public leaderboard within about a minute. We keep only your sign-in IDs, so that you can sign back in within 30 days to cancel. If you cancel, you keep your account, but the data already deleted does not come back. Otherwise, the rest is permanently deleted 30 days after your request. Email requests are processed within 30 days. Deleted data can remain in our database backups for up to 8 days after it is deleted. Once your account is permanently deleted, it cannot be recovered.

Data We Cannot Delete

Aggregated, anonymized analytics data (e.g., total matches played across all players) does not contain personally identifiable information and is not subject to deletion. Crash reports are not linked to your account, so we cannot find yours to delete it; they are deleted automatically after 30 days.
